Grant 28 wins 17 loses
Week 8 brought us Super Saturday and the Sunday Oakridge tournament.
The first game of Super Saturday was the Saber tooth of Grant against Baldwin. This was a tough fought game with plenty of great defensive plays on both sides. The Saber tooth tigers handed Baldwin a 8-0 loss. Way to finish strong boys.
The Second game of Super Saturday was the Bengals of Grant against the Newaygo Lions. In the first match up of the season the Bengals defeated Newaygo in a close match. All figured again this would be a tough game, however it turned out to be a high scoring affair on the Bengals scoreboard. The final score being 32-0. The Bengals finished the year with a 6 - 2 record. Great season guys.
The third game of Super Saturday was for the championship, matching the 6 and 1 Siberian Tigers of Grant against the 7 and 0 Panthers of Hesperia. Earlier in the season the Panthers handed the Siberian Tigers their first and only loss of the season. This rematch was greatly anticipated on both sides. The game started out with both teams trading possession and the Panthers punting and pinning Grant back close to its goal line. Again the Panthers defense was tough and held Grant to a 4 and out giving the Panthers great field position. The panthers capitalized on the field position making the score 6-0 at half time. That would be all the Panthers would need. The final score Panthers 12 and the Grant Siberians 0. Congratulations go out to Hesperia on a fantastic perfect season of 8 and 0. Grant also finished the season with a very good 6 and 2 record. Great job guys and remember 2010's season has started already. What are you doing to make your skill set better to help your team?

The 5th and 6th grade game at the Oakridge tournament pitted Grant against host team of the tournament, Oakridge. Grant received a buy in the first round, while Oakridge beat Reeths Puffer 40-0. The game started with Grant showing complete dominance on the line of scrimmage and running the ball to near perfection while utilizing the Double Wing to perfection. the game was never a contest with Grant defeating Oakridge 28-0.
