Board of Directors Meeting

Tuesday June 9th, 2009^th,  7:00 PM

Members present:  Jerry Bomay, Kevin Throop, Jason Cunningham, Melissa Cunningham, Jill Bomay, Tanya Toppel Hector

Members absent: Angela Brummel, Deb Gonzales, Scott Konicki

Community Members present –

I.                    Approval of Minutes

a.       Minutes were reviewed.

b.   Minutes were approved – Melissa -1^st, Tanya -2^nd.

II.                 Treasurer’s Report

                Tonya Hector is now the Grant Rocket Football Inc Treasurer. 

                This was voted and approved by the GRF board of directors.

a.       There is approximately $12,431.34 in the checkbook.

b.    Since June 1st, another $525 in registration has been deposited.

c.    Every Wednesday in July is booked at Wendy's.

d.    Total income for last year $51,655.

e.    The Texas Hold 'Em Tournament brought in about $2700.

f.     Treasurer's report approved by Jason and Melissa.

III.               Committee Reports

a.       Concessions – Deb - absent

b.      Coaching director – Jason

.

1.      Jason and Jerry will be meeting on Saturday to help start putting together teams at Kevin's house at 8 a.m.

2.      Jason is the community contact for the Punt Pass Kick Contest which is August 29th, the same day as weigh-ins.  Weigh-ins begin at 9 a.m. in Holton.

3.   There is a meeting with Mr. Bogner on Friday.

4.   Team camp will be July 24.

c.       Program Director – Melissa Cunningham – combined with Angel

1.      We had 99 people show up.

2.      We need to send a thank you.

d.      Fundraiser – Angel - absent

1.     Wendy's nights are set.

2.   We will do candles again - Amy will deliver.

IV.              Old Business

1.      June 30 is the deadline for registration.

2.   We may have different jerseys next year.

3.   Texas Hold 'Em brought in $2700.

V.                 New Business

a.       Continued registration- we need to contact players who haven't registered yet.

b.   We still have available scholarships.

c.   The next Texas Hold' Em tournaments are at Spectrum Lanes - July 9 - 11 and July 30- August 1.

d.   We are looking at 3 5/6th, 2 3/4th, and 1 1st/2nd, and 1 big 7th.

e.    Jill is officially resigned as secretary. 

f.    We are still looking for a 20-22 foot trailer.

g.   We need to get Jason the med boxes.

h.   All 5/6th grade should practice in one spot on same nights/same times.

i.    7th grade will probably practice at 6-8.
