Board of Directors Meeting

Monday, March 12, 2007 , 7:00 p.m.

Members present:  Matt Lacy, Jenny Lowry , Jerry and Jill Bomay, Renee Gietzen, Deb Gonzales, Melissa Hepinstall

Members absent:  Kristin March

I.                    Approval of Minutes – approved by Jerry and Deb

II.                 Approval of Treasurer’s Report

a.       $3,248 in checking

b.      Mary Hyrn is working on our annual tax return.  Our Non-Profit Status was not accepted.  Jerry resubmitted the forms.  There is a one time fee of $750.00 because of what we made last year.

c.       Matt approved, Jill 2^nd

III.               Committee Reports-

a.       Concessions – Deb - none

b.      Coaching director – Matt

1.      Pete Bonter may be coaching the 1^st and 2^nd grade team.

2.      A couple of coaches went to the clinic.

3.      A couple of head coaches missed the second meeting.

4.      Matt, Kristin and Jenny will do coaching interviews.

5.      We need 2007 rulebooks.

6.      The first aid equipment needs to be updated.

c.       Field Directors – There was not a Field Director at the time of the meeting.

d.      Program Director – Renee

1.      The coach’s shirts were quoted at $18.00.  The field director, President, and Vice President should have one also.

2.      The first newsletter was sent out.

3.      There is a discount if you order jerseys early.  Each month the discount goes down 5%.

e.       Fundraiser – Melissa

1.      The goal for fundraising is $5,000.00.

2.      Jerry and Matt will check with police department on trailers.

3.      We discussed possibly having a yard sale on the last day of school – no helmets or pads should be in sale.

4.      It was suggested that the maps be put in the program and then put the program cost as $5.00 rather than sell the maps separately.

5.      We can put information in the school newsletter when there is room.  The next newsletter goes out in April.

6.      Melissa would like to order merchandise before the season starts, however, it was mentioned that this falls under merchandise rather than fundraising.

7.      The next advertisement will be for the yard sale and registration.  We will need two drop-off dates and places.  1^st by Jerry and 2^nd by Jill.

8.      Melissa would like someone to check into the Plumb’s receipt program.

9.      She has obtained a sample vehicle sticker.

10.   A car wash was also suggested.

IV.              Old Business

a.       Insurance estimates

1.      Jenny provided an insurance sheet to review

2.      The insurance could cost $1,982 or $2,092.

V.                 New Business

a.       There was no time left to discuss any new business.

b.      Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.   1^st – Jerry and 2^nd by Deb.
